The Cadiz Tourism Board has organized a number of fine food events and sherry pairings in the UK, which will be held in the Hispania Restaurant in London. http://www.hispanialondon.com.
Timed to coincide with International Sherry Week and London Wine Week, and taking advantage of Jerez’s current status as European City of Wine, the regional tourism board considered it fitting to bring together the fine food events with sherry pairing.
Chef Mauro Barreiro will be at the Hispania Restaurant Between the 2nd and 6th June, offering tapas based on almadraba tuna (net-caught Atlantic Bluefin tuna) alongside sherry from Jerez, allowing us to showcase our products and promote them in this important market.
On the 5th June, Beltrán Domecq, winemaker and president of the Jerez Regulatory Council, will be giving a sherry master class in the same restaurant, after which a dinner based on products from Cadiz will be served. Our Castillo de San Diego will be one of the wines being paired with food served.
The dinner will be attended by specialist journalists, sommeliers, suppliers, restaurateurs and a number of professionals from the tourism industry including tour operators specialising in wine tourism.
